Ahhhhhhhhh!!!! Damn, I so do not need a new obsession right now. To procrastinate writing my paper, I decided to pick up watching Taiwanese Idol dramas again. When I first started with the Asian thing, I was really into these, but then Korea came calling and I sort of got over it. Anyways, Miss No Good or 不良笑花 is really good (okay, maybe not good like Philadelphia Story kind of good, more like cliche, over-the-top, cheesy fanfic good, but whatever) and it’s produced by Angie Cai of Meteor Garden fame. I sat through Devil Beside You and Why Why Love for Mike He, but I really disliked Rainie in both. I thought she seriously couldn’t act (why did she get nominated for that award thing for WWL???) and that the rest of the cast totally carried her. However, I kinda love her in this, her character is suppose to be annoying, yet I find her way more likable then in DBY or WWL. Also her chemistry with Will Pan is off the charts (relatively speaking…), which brings me to….
Pan Wei Bo ILUSM!!!!!!!♥♥♥. Not gonna lie, if I didn’t totally find him completely and absolutely wonderfully hawt in this, I probably wouldn’t like it that much. He is a surprisingly good actor and does the cocky, narcissistic but dorky-without-knowing-it thing so well XDDDDDD. I suspect that’s probably pretty close to his character in real life but I digress. I’ve listened to his music before but didn’t really find it appealing. Clearly I need to try again.
The subbed episodes are on my soju, but if you don’t need subs, it’s all over youtube. I wouldn’t normally recommend Taiwanese Idol shows cause most are draggy and cliche, but this one, while totally predictable, is not only fast paced (only 13 epi’s) but ligit funny. The whole cast is really likable and they all have good chemistry. There have only been five episodes so far but I’m super stoked to see where it goes!!! (F writing my paper, who needs to graduate from college anyways : S)
