March 2009

My heart is a marshmallow today. Warning for cheez ahead ———————>  You have been warned.

So randomly wasting time and re-watching the SM concert, I realized how much I miss these boys. I don’t want to sound like a crazy fangirl (although my actions on this blog isn’t doing much for my sane image~~), but when they came out and sang “Hug,” my heart jumped a bit~~

There’s something really comforting DBSK fandom. It’s like meeting an old friend, or curling up by the fire on a cold day. Whenever I watch them perform, I can always count of there being five of them together generally kicking ass. Even on their off days, they still do pretty darn good, and I enjoy the consistency and relative drama freeness of DBSK. For them, it actually is all about the music, and that’s such a refreshing thing once in a while.

I feel like I’ve been a bad fan to them lately in more ways then one. I can start off with the fact that I’ve totally not been paying much attention to them. I don’t feel bad about bagging on their recent Japanese releases, however, I do feel disappointed that what they are currently putting out isn’t maximizing their full potential. It’s not that I hate THSK, because some of their Japanese stuff in the past has been great, and I so don’t want to be one of those fans that acts like Kpop>>>>>>>>>>>>everything under the sun. It’s just that I truely believe they are better when they do Kpop versus Jpop. Everything about DBSK, from their style to their vocals, makes them suitable to be a Korean boyband, not a Japanese one.

I really hope something amazing happens in this fandom soon. I think more then anyone, these boys deserve better, from their music, as well as fans like me.

Saw this on Soompi

You know, the liberal, Jon Stewart loving, ultra-pc conscious part of me finds this repulsive. I read their Wikipedia page, and it seems like the guy in charge basically decided it would be fun for the inmate to dance for exercises, and has turned this into some publicity, commercial thing.

I do find it somewhat sick. However, the fangirl part of me tells me it’s pretty neat too. If indeed the prisoners were forced to dance and cross dress or whatever against their will, then that would definitely be cruel and unusual. However, if the prisoners don’t mind and actually enjoy themselves, then it’s actually pretty cool. Beat’s shivving one another every day in the prison yard I guess (lakdsfjsl, can you tell how up on my prison knowledge I am? o__O)

But back to the dance– It’s definitely the most unusual and massive cover I’ve seen, and seriously, they did a good job. The Wonder Girls would be proud.

Congrats on the Mutizen!

Week after week, I always love their Inkigayo performances the best. They changed their outfits again to these snazzy blue and gold pinstrip suits. Yes, some of them look like bellhops, but it is okay. I love how they always change their routine a little bit each time they perform. This time, Eunhyuk joined Donghae in dancing his last solo. Very cool! IMO, they sound really, really good here too. Proabably the best of the week^^

Encore stage with 2AM and SNSD is awesome too! Basically, everything is awesome!

YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS!!! Omg, this is the SuJu we’ve all know and love. No subs yet, but seriously doesn’t matter. I went sort of crazy with caps so los siento if it kills your computer, but you should know by now that bandwidth death is worthy sacrifice for Korean boys.

These girls are gonna be huge! I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much hype for the debut of a Kpop group. The song is frickin’ addictive!! I can’t stop playing it!! I don’t think the “lolli lolli lollipop” part is ever gonna leave my head. Gah, I can’t believe how obsessed I’ve become over a CF song. Can’t wait for their debut!

Oh and just for the record, I think 21 is an awesome name. Gah, I thought I was a chronic complainer, but some people just hate on everything. I mean seriously, compared to names like SHINee, or Super Junior, or BIG BANG?!?!, I’d say these girls lucked out big time T___T
