Wang Leehom

How long has it been since I’ve made a Leehom post? Wtf right?

Admittedly, I’ve never heard the original, but I’m totally lovin’ the cover (duh). Something about his voice,  idek. Ngl, it’s really nice to just hear something new from him.

Okay, so I found out his concert DVD is coming out next week, and omg, where are my monies??? What to do? what to do???

Yippie! This is like the ultimate treat for my Cpop deprived self! I have no idea what this award is, but so many artists showed up, so it must be pretty legit. Alsdjflsdkj, I had the hardest time collecting performances, so if you have more links to share, or happen to know where I can watch the full show, I will give my undying love to you forevers!!

Leehom; Xin.Tiao. How long has it been since I’ve seen a Leehom performance? Too damn long!! Lol @ the technical difficulty in the begining. Leehom is so squishable when he’s like, “should we do it one more time?” Alsjdfjlkdfslk I cannot love this guy anymore than I do!!! I think it goes without saying that his singing was amazing as always^^^He always sings his songs differently each time he performs, and he’s so expressive!! ♥♥♥X1000000!!!!!!!

Jason Zhang Jie; 2008 Taiwan/HK Top Songs Medley Okay, I don’t know who Jason Zhang is, judging by the screams, he’s hella popular in China atm. Anyways, I loved this performance! He basically sings a line or two from the most popular songs of HK/Taiwan of the past year. So many of my faves on the list! Aklsadjfsld, I need to learn more about this boy! He’s cute, he can sing, what else is there to ask for????

BoBo; 2008 Mainland Top Songs Medley | If Okay, I’m only familar with BoBo by name, but I do know they are the most popular group in China right now. Purely judging by their voice/looks/way they look at one another, I’d say they’re pretty deserving XDD. Anyways, I’m sort of embarrassed that I pretty much recognized all the songs/artists from the Taiwan/HK list, but I know almost no one on this list o___O. Lol at all the Olympic propaganada music that managed to get on the list though T__T. As far as their other song, it’s pretty typical Cpop, but again, cute+nice voices = me relatively interested.

Fahrenheit; Xin Wo Kind of a side note, but I hate those stupid sponsor mics; the random plast strip is really distracting ^__^ Anyways, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen FRH perform this song. Eh, not too bad I guess.

Mayday; Ni Bu Shi Zhen Zheng De Kuai Le Ahhh, this has got to be one of my fave songs from PotDA!!! I don’t normally watch Mayday live performances, cuz to be honest, I think they sound a lot better on the CD, but I really liked this performance! I don’t really listen to that much rock music, but it’s fun watching these boys play the guitar, bass and drums!

Jam Hsiao; Wang Zi De Xin Yi Okay question: When did Jam Hsiao get hot? I remember back when he was just this super awkward kid who couldn’t say more than three words at once, but now he’s all, “look at me, I sing rock and wear tight pants” Whatever, love this Jam 2394293X more!!

S.H.E; Miss Universe The thing I love about S.H.E. the most is that they’re always so perky! They’re one of the few performers that actually have coreography, and I always feel like bopping along whenever I watch them perfrom this song!

Show Luo; Hot Shot Speaking of  coreography, here’s the supposed dance king of Asia ;___; Although I don’t love the song, I have to admit that for a Chinese guy, he’s pretty good at dancing! Lol, j/k j/k, I really do love him to bits!

Top Combine; Cotton Candy First off, I’m like really freaked out by how skinny they are o__O. I know I’m not “allowed” to say this, but wheneve I watch them, I can’t help but think, “Korean boyband ripoff.” IDK, song is exactly how you’d imagine a song called “Cotton Candy” would sound….

Oh yeah, list of winners in case you care ; ))))

Can you tell how in love with this performance I am?

I’m not terribly familiar with K. Will, aside from that he dueted with Tiffany, and featured Yuri in his MV. His singing is nice, but let’s be honest, I watched this performance for piano boy. Yeah, so basically, Ryeowook+piano needs to happen like a million times more often than it currently does^^. Ryeowook is one of my favorite members, and IMHO, the most underrated person in SuJu. I’m so happy he got a chance to really highlight his talent : ))). He’s one of the few Kpop stars I actually consider a true musician. I mean, the boy is classically trained, can compose music, and can out-sing almost everyone. What’s not to love?? He looked so serious playing the piano but omg, so fierce— thank you cameraman for giving us all those lovely closeups of his hands. Also, the chessboard stage was really kwel too! Gah, I’m such a sucker for boys who play the piano ♥

“Sorry, Sorry”

Okay,  sorry, sorry, but I can’t resist posting on this too. IDK if it’s just a coincidence, but my enjoyment of Music Core has increased significantly since Tiffany and Yuri started hosting. I thought the stage today was so creative, and it was really cute how the two of them were sitting on that giant chair while SJ was performing. This post is majorly gonna be about Ryeowook– you noticed his awesome harmonization in the chorus right?? I hope he keeps doing that cuz it totally livens up the song XDD. I think they also added some stuff to their dance too, which is always appreciated. Gah, how could these boys be so perfect~~

Read this and die from it’s awesomeness!!!!

Finally, *deep breath* SJM IS A GUEST AT JACKIE CHAN’S BIRD’S NEST CONCERT MAY 1ST!!!! Okay, I’m not one of those ultra nationalist Chinese people, but even I know how frickin’ huge deal this is. If I’m not mistaken, this will be the first concert event there, and it’s a huge honor. And, do you know who else is gonna be there??!??!!? WANG LEEHOM!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, you know I love him forever, since he started filming his movie (which is actually with Jackie), I like haven’t really seen that much info on him, but omg, music event!! Okay, SJM (who are like such Leehom  fanboys ♥__♥) and Leehom better have like face to face interaction, and said interaction better be documented on film, and said film better be broadcast somewhere, so I can forever spazz in the awesomeness that is momentous event *hyperventilates*

Ah, yes… The always lovely, always inevitable, repackaged album is finally here~. Lol, personally, no matter how much I love an artist, I don’t see the point in buying more then one copy of the exact same album. However, to each their own, and while I find repackaged albums to be a cheap ploy in swindling more money out of loyal fans, the flip side is that there’s always a bunch of new pretty photos that accompany RePA, so all is not lost.

One word: Hot. I love the come hither look in the picture above. Leehom, for you, I will be there in a heartbeat (no pun intended XDD).

Check out the rest of the photos below:

I love the retro vibe of these pictures. What’s up with that one where’s his face is blue though? *Shrugs and rolls with it*

YesAsia link just in case you truly need another copy ; ).

Oh yeah, one last thing, his music promotion is pretty much done, which– boo… *sadface.* Why was it so short, and why did it feel like I didn’t see him all that much??? But the good news is that he’s now filming some epic Jackie Chan movie so we will be seeing actor!Leehom again soon. Cheekiness aside, I really did enjoy his role in Lust.Caution, and I thought he did a more-than-just-decent job with the character. I’m truly excited to see his new movie so there are definitely still things in Leehom fandom to look forward to!

Yes! I’ve totally been waiting for this mv to come out!

So besides the fact that I’m sort of disappointed Leehom and Jane didn’t film this together, I don’t really have any complaints. Obviously, this isn’t one of Leehom’s more high budget mv’s, but I totally don’t mind. I like that I can just watch two very amazing singers doing what they do best, ie. singing. Crappy CGI aside, there’s something very old school about the music video, and it reminds me a lot of old Leehom stuff.

It goes without saying that Leehom did an amazing job, but I’m so impressed by Jane^^. She more then held her own again a very formidable opponent. Does she remind anyone else of A-mei? Not only do they look similar, but they both have a very sincere vibe when they sing, and of course, the killer voice XDD.  Anyways, I knew about her dolphin voice before, but actually watching her do it was all sorts of trippy. I’ll be honest: it totally freaked me out but I am impressed nevertheless.

Ah, I feel like I’ve somewhat abandoned Chinese music for the moment. IDK, I still love it of course, but my moods lately have left me craving things a bit more Korean. Who knows, I’m like so ADHD, I could change my mind again any moment *__*.
