Who says Asians can’t dance?? People can diss SM all they want, but the truth is, they’ve got some of the most talented performers in Korea In honor of this momentous event, I’m using my brand spanking new SMTown Tag! *excitement& Should I include some other Kpop acts too?

Switching gears a bit. I have never been really impressed with Japanese music shows. Personally, I think Iron Chef has more theatrics and production value then stuff like Music Station. However, this THSK’s big debut on MS, so gotta show some love.
Survivor. *Sigh* I really wish the unbanning happened with a better song (and choreography). Okay, actually the song is growing on me, but the dance not so much. It totally sucks that they didn’t even get to sing the whole song– Yunho and Yoochun only got like half a line each : S. On the positive side, Junsu, Changmin and Jae sounded great so overall it was about as good of a performance as I could’ve hoped for. Oh, and their back outfits were pretty badass~
BoA; Elen Why does this song sound so familiar?? I swear there’s a DBSK song with a “bye bye bye” part that sounds exactly the same;;; Anywways, I was really distracted by the hair fail to notice much else. I don’t listen to BoA’s Japanese songs cuz I really dislike her voice in Japanese. It’s too nasally and high pitched, like a hyena in need of Sudafed. She is a great performer however!
Arashi; Believe Come on, there’s no way I can not compare them to THSK. Same show, two performances, it’s just begging for it//. Okay, no doubt THSK are better singers, but they looked kinda stiff and nervous which is understandable being their first time and all. Arashi’s performance was a lot of fun! I don’t really like the song, but i did find the rap parts strangely hot o___O. You know what, Arashi kinda reminds me of Fahrenheit. They totally have that sort-of-talented, whatever-let’s-just-have-fun vibe going on.
Okay, I’m dead tired so I’m gonna go nap now. More later perhaps : )

Leaked right? Oh well, it’s a time honored tradition in the music biz, and who am I to break the legacy???
Seriously fantastic XDDDD. Better then Eat You Up, and I frickin’ love that song! My leg was bopping crazily the whole time like it was on speed or something^^. Because I am so out of the loop on American music, I have no idea who Sean Garrett is. Okay, google is telling me that he’s some relatively famous producer and wannabe singer/rapper. Hey, if it’s good enough for Chris Brown, it’s good enough for me.
So BoA is doing the whole Britney thing with the synthesizer and electronic sound. That’s fine, she sounds great so whatever. I’m honest-to-god excited for her album now. Am I still cynical about her chances in America? Yes, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying her music. Honestly, if people like Katy Perry (who I love, but good god, girl cannot sing;;;;) can make it big, there’s no reason BoA can’t.
Oh wait, except for the part where she’s Asian, has a fob accent, is Asian, doesn’t dress like a hooker, and did I mention Asian?

Yeah, she performed Eat You Up and although she sounded a bit tired, the English was great. I absoutely loved the performance and she looked sexy as hell with all those guy dancers^^. Hope all her hob-nobbing with the D list celebs here in the US pays off soon! I bet she’s worked harder then any one of us could possibly imagine and she totally deserves to make it big! So yum yum!

More Kpop, or more specifically, SM (only the current roster~ I’d die from Kpop overload if I tried to do every SM debut ever). I do actually, occasionally, really listen to other Kpop, but this post is already gonna be essay length so I’ll do the other people another day ; ))). Actually, I’d love one for Cpop as well, but they don’t have organized music stages so I guess I can’t ///. Confession: I’ve actually never seen most of these (okay, none except the SJ and ZLY ones *uber fail*), so it’ll be fun to compare then and now. Since the Korean broadcasting companies had their youtube inquisition, a lot of older videos have been removed so we’ll see how successful I am at tracking stuff down~. Um, I’ll do it by order of debut I guess.
