I realized that I did the SM version, promised I listen to more Kpop then that, then proceeded to forget about the whole thing. This post is pretty much solely to prove that I listen to non SM Korean music. *Ahem* You can use your own discretion to decide how truthful I’m being….

Congratulations to all the winners! When I went on soompi to check out who’d won, I found the MKMF thread closed due to fighting. Ah, soompi, you never let me down in the crazy, immature department ♥. Anyways, I’ve been watching the performances and all of them were really impressive. It seemed like everyone was having a blast! Performances under the cut!

Ah, I really should be studying, but drosophia development isn’t nearly as interesting as pretty boys.
Yunmin+Solbi MC cuts I only watched like two seconds, but it seems like Yunho calmed down since the last time he did this. He’s still sort of awkward though~. What’s up with the swirly camera?
FT Island; Love is… They are no doubt talented and this is exactly the type of song I like, so why am I not more into it? Why is that one guy– Hongki??? Wonbin???– wearing like a drag queen outfit while the rest of them look normal? Either way, good performance.
DBSK; Mirotic Why were there broken Ionic columns on their stage? This was their best performance of Mirotic in a while. The energy was there and I have to say all of them, especially Junsu and Yunho looked really hawt^^.
Wonder Girls; Nobody (Rainstone Remix) I thought the 40’s look was fabulous, but this new age, artsy thing is weird~. Their live sounded pretty good.
M; Don’t Trust Man Minwoo is short but hot. I’m glad he lost the shades half way though, if only the ski hat went too. Song is fine– not my style, but I love him!
Taeyeon (& Seohyun); Can You Hear Me? Ah, this was my fav of the bunch. Yeah, it’s a generic OST ballad but I’m a sucker for those. Sometimes when Taeyeon solos, she loses control of her voice, but she held her game here. I just wish she had a little more confidence and went for it on some of the high notes. Seohyun is incredibly underrated in SNSD so props to her here.
Rain; Rainism I really don’t like the song, so I sort of skimmed the performance. Yawn, whatever…
SHINee; Amigo Nothing to say about this except that I love their red and black outfit concept. I especially covet Minho’s hoodie^^.
Wheesung; Fading Star Okay, the only thing I know about him is that Ivy cheated on him and he had throat surgery. I dunno how he sounded before, but I don’t dig his voice here. However, I’m excited to check out his Notting Hill MV with Lee Hyori. From the teaser pics I saw, she looked quite stunning ♥.
Younha; Gossip Boy Fun and high energy performance. I’ve listened to her album and it wasn’t really my thing. I feel misogynist, but I can’t seem to get into female vocals.
Ok, that should be it. I cheated a little and ff’ed some of the performances… overall, it was a little meh. For some weird reason, I don’t like Music Core as much as Inki or MB, and that somehow makes me like the performances less. Oh well…

SHINee; Amigo I made a rant filled post yesterday about how they really shouldn’t be singing this song at their age and while I do feel like a bad fangirl for being so harsh, I stand by my comments. However, that’s not to say that SHINee didn’t do a great job performing this. Their energy level was unbelievable. Did they sing live though??? I know they were holding the mics but it seemed like at some points the vocals didn’t really match their lips and I know for sure that the rap was at least heavily backtracked. Either way, the dance was really energic and I loved Taemin’s break in the middle. What I really like about this song though, is that they are able to integrate each member’s part, whether its singing, dancing or rapping, very well cause everything is just timed perfectly. Great ‘comeback’ performance : )))

What the heck, real life has me occupied right now, so of course, a billion things get released. T____T Oh well, trying to catch up right now.
Boa; Eat You Up Not gonna lie, ever since I watch the mv, I’ve had this song stuck in my head so that the entire day I was like, “I’ll eat you up!!!^^!” at random times except, that phrase kinda connotes something um… phallic in English and my friends were like giving me weird looks the whole day. Whatevs, the song is really cool and I dig the mv way more then I expected. Granted, it is the Korean version so I guess the true test will come when the American version is released but whatever, this is straight up gansta***, ‘cept not. lol Anyways, watching this has motivated me to check out some other BoA stuff cause she looks so gorgeous here (her hair looks like its made from puppy unicorn rainbows) and sounds great as well. The synthesizer is overused, but her pronunciation is great and the dancing, especially after the water part, is smexy. I dunno if this will appeal to Americans but I love it!!! Best of luck, BoA!^^
