Long time no see my (now sure to be readerless) blog!!

Eh, school is kicking my butt and Kpop is full of crap atm. Tth, I’m over it.

My impromptu hiatus probably would have continued, but I just had to comment about SS501’s new album, which is so frickin’ good!!

I mean, I didn’t really like them, and aside from that BOF song, none of their previous music really grabbed me, so I really had no expectations, but holy moly!! I’m really liking this. My favorites are “Love Like This” and “Green Peas,” but all the songs have something special to them.

Rebirth is such an appropriate title with how mature and fresh this sounds. Aside from the oblig ballad in the middle, all the other songs are so peppy and fun without being gimmicky. I’ve read a lot of comments about it being boring, but I prefer to call it subtle, which is so not a bad thing right now.

I don’t wanna say the album sounds indie, cuz it so doesn’t;;; but it does sound more natural and less manufactured than what’s been coming out lately. Maybe it’s just the girl-autotune overload, but this is so refreshing and easy listening

Okay, I’m officially a SS501 fangirl now, and look at that, their music was what finally got me.

IDEK what to call this, but whatever it is, it’s totally awesome beans!!! Basically this is a marriage of the two things Korea does best: boybands and overly dramatic and emo plotlines.

I’m a sucker for well done story mvs, and this one does not disappoint^^. Okay, I have no idea what’s going on, and the song totally adds nothing, but I’m intrigued as hell by the plot. Hyunjoong is apparently some psycho hit man, and I have to say I find his acting here infinitely better than in BOF. Guess the man is just cut out for the bad boy role XDD.

I seriously think this mv may single handedly turn me into a double S fangirl   Can’t wait ’till they release the next part of this!!! *anticipates*

What’s with all these girl groups suddenly popping up??? As a fangirl, this is my face: o__o

Okay, sorry if that’s misogynist, but my primal instincts are telling me boybands>>>>>>girlbands.

I am really looking forward to SNSD’s “comeback” (omfg, if the epicness that was “Gee” is any indication~~), but other than that, meh..

Since SuJu is wrapping up, and 2PM and SHINee aren’t gonna be around the entire summer, I need to find a new Kpop fix. Since this one comes highly recommended…..

New songs! If I’m not wrong, their new album is coming out uh… soon right?? I think their new concept is like spies or something, IDK, but that certainly sounds hot XDD

Kyujong; Wuss Up Idg the title; oh well, the song is pretty chill. All sorts of Big Bang-ish things happening, but it’s fun, and the “wuss up” part totally gets stuck in your heard.

Youngsaeng; Nameless Memory Am I the only one who thinks he sounds like a girl?? I guess he’s the designated “singer” of the group~~ Uh, it’s a ballad, so whatever.

Hyunjoong; Be Nice to me Please Final track for now is RnB flava. They’re really covering the spectrum on Kpop trends right now~~ Hyunjoong sounds really nice in this. I think this is my favorite of the bunch, and I’m not just saying that because he’s the only one I can match name to face T__T. The song’s got that sort of haunting melody I’m digging lately.

Overall, I can’t say I’m blown aways by any of these, but they are just solos so maybe I’ll like their official single more. Maybe I just need some testosterone to balance out all the crazy estrogen Korea is secreting atm. Idk, but either way, I’m really pretty excited for their comeback!!

Okay, just so this post isn’t completely about staring at a very purty boy’s face and legs and butt, check out SS501’s “Because I’m Stupid” performance on Kim Jung Eun’s Chocolate. I think this is my favorite performance of the song so far! They serenade three very, very lucky audience members, and give them some sort of Valentine scepter looking thing. The live band makes it absolutely perfect, and all of them sound sooooo goooood! But why oh why won’t Kyu Jong’s girl even look at him??? Aldsjlkdf, had that been me, I probably would have been shamelessly staring with a stupid smile and dribble coming out of my mouth–classy, I know = ). Also, Young Saeng’s so good with the fanservice^^, when it is his turn to give the girl his present, he reaches around to her other side so that he could give her a half hug ♥♥. Why have I been immune to these boys’ charm for so long?!?!? I’m finally learning their names, so it’s a good step!
