What’d you expect?
You know, when SK first came out, and everyone was shitting their collective pants over it, I was like, “seriously? Star Trek?” Then I watched it.
Basically, yeah. Spock. Kirk. Kirk/Spock.
When is the next one coming out?

I think I have a sinus infection. All I wanna do is lie on my bed and stew : (((((. Even though school has started, I’m fortunate enough to have a four day weekend this week. Everything I’ve been checking out lately under the cut.

Continuing with the Korean but not Kpop theme, I wanna throw some love to this completely-fucked-up-but-oh-so-good movie. I watched it about a week ago to destress from finals not knowing anything about it, and wow, not what I was expecting would be an understatement.
Basically, it’s about a guy that is kidnapped, and locked up for 15 years and he has no idea why. When he gets out, he sets out to find his captors and get revenge. That’s the gist of the plot, but that’s not what the movie is really about, if that makes sense. I know it sounds cliche and dumb, but trust me when I say this, there is no way you can figure this one out.
I read on Wiki that Oldboy is actually based on a Japanese manga. That doesn’t surprise me cuz nobody does this genera better then the Japanese. I dislike most American psychological thrillers because a lot of it is so predictable. However, Asians have such a fresh perspective (maybe it’s because I’m not as familiar with the culture~); this absolutely left me reeling. I felt like I needed to take ten showers just to get it off me. That sounds weird, but I bet you’ll be left feeling pretty violated and dirty too after watching.
Check out the trailer above. I post a lot about things (boybands, NASCAR) that only certain people are interesting in, but I’m serious about this one, everyone (uh, I mean everyone that’s old enough to drive…) should check this out. Nowadays, it’s so rare to find films that deeply affect people, but I think this accomplishes just that. I’m not usually so passionate about movies, but this really is an amazing piece. OMG, I still feel tingly just thinking about it. I’m serious. Go watch it. You won’t regret it.
